What I Need To Avoid In Skin Care Products

Soooo, I have been doing some research about my skin.  I still dont know which products are best for me but I found out what chemicals to avoid.  Which are some of the same chemicals that I should avoid in my hair products.  Duh!  Why didn't I figure this out before?  If its not good for my hair and scalp; I definitely shouldn't put it on the rest of me.  All a learning process.
So here's a list of items I should avoid in my skin care products.
  • Sodium Lauryl Sulfates, Ammonium Lauryl Sufates, all sulfates (Sulfates are harsh cleansers. Dry the Skin)
  • Mineral Oil (Clogs pores and causes acne)
  • Petroleum (Clogs pores and causes acne)
  • Waxes (paraffin) (Clogs pores and causes acne)
  • Dioxane ( A bad derivative of Coconut oil. May cause cancer) What!!!!
  • Parabens (Of course, but how many products out there without parabens. But from my personal research Parabens can cause rashes and disrupt endocrine system)
  • Alcohols (benzyl alcohol, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, SD alcohol and methanol. They cause SKIN DRYNESS)
  • Added Frangrances (They cause SKIN DRYNESS and contain harmful chemicals)
No wonder my skin has been dry and acne prone.  Take out one of your skin care products and do a search on some of those technical ingredients. That's what I did along with reading a million articles. Click on this website - Cosmeticsdatabase

Can I really find products without and of the above ingredients at a decent price?  I know there are products out there but expensive and you need another job just to fund your beauty products.  To be honest, I still use hair products with some of the above ingredients.  I will try to find products that don't have at least sulfates, mineral oil, petroleum, or alchols. We'll see.

So far while doing research I found one product that looks good BeeYummy Skinfoods Face Moisturizer.  I ordered a sample for under $3.  I will do a product review once I try it.

I guess I am going to have to change every skin product I own.  I feel a product overhaul coming.
