New York Fashion Week Kicks Off Today!

Did you know positive energy is more powerful than negative energy?  If you don't believe me, just try it!

Today is the official start to New York Fashion Week.  I went two seasons ago and it was exhausting, exhilarating, beautiful and a once in a lifetime event.  Unfortunately, I have to work so I will not be in New York this season. Boo.  However, rest assured Luxetips will bring you the backstage and behind the scenes looks for Fall 2011.

For example, I just received word that ALL of Lancôme's national make-up artist including Daniel Martin will work together for the first time at the Chris Benz show.  Wowza!  Lancôme will showcase all of their new make-up for Fall 2011.  You know I love Lancôme and I can't wait to see the looks they create.

And if you don't know, Chris Benz is a fashion week sensation and is clothes are so creative and amazing.  I can't wait to see his fall line!

Mercedez-Benz New York Fashion Week: Backstage with Lancome

I hope your life is wonderful! It is so cold but still beautiful and sunny!  I love the Sun!

Although I could not attend Fashion Week this Spring, I still had to bring you Divas details from Backstage.  I was fortunate to get the scoop on Fall Make-up trends created by my fav luxe beauty brand, Lancome. 

First up the Victoria Beckam Show.  Lancome lead make-up artist, Francelle, created a look that included nude lips, silver eyes, and  shimmery skin.  Francelle's inspiration for this look was 1930's Old Hollywood Glamour.  Francelle derived this inspiration from Victoria Beckam Fall 2010 Collection which had a "Dick Tracy" vibe.  The products used are as follows:

Pure Hotness! These clothes are only for serious Divas! Yes, lounging in South Beach on a cool Fall night with my Louboutins and a hot dress! Yesssss!!! 

Lancome also created the look for the Chris Benz Fall 2010 Collection show. Lancome lead make-up artist, Daniel Martin, created a "Gothic Chic" look to compliment Chris's line.  This look included smokey eyes in hues of charcoal grey and chocolate and for the lips, a "gradated" gothy lip using a matte lipstick and topping it off with Juicy Tubes lip gloss.

 I am loving this look for fall! As a matter of fact, I am going to attempt to re-create it pronto. I love make-up and this look is giving me so much inspiration to do it up!

Lancôme Mega Contest: Help name the 2010 Spring Chris Benz Lipstick!

I hope you have a wonderful day! I am actually mourning the loss of Micheal Jackson. But I know he is in a better place.

While visiting The Lancôme Blog, I discovered my favorite luxe beauty brand, is having a very creative and fun contest. As part of Lancôme's Pout-or-Porter project, Lancôme creates a lipstick for a particular designer and the color is worn by the models in the designer's show during Fashion Week. Designers Thakoon, Proenza Schouler, and Peter Som were previous participants. This year, Lancome is creating a lipstick in honor of designer Chris Benz for the Spring 2010 Fashion shows which will take place this fall. However, Lancôme is allowing you to pick the name of the shade! How neat is that??!!!
