Chamele loves monograms.  I have not been a fan myself, but these are Classic. How do you feel about monograms?

Day 21

I love monograms! My mother always made me feel as though my name was special. She would have oxford shirts monogrammed at the local JCPenney for my sister and I to wear to school. Even now, my sheets, towels and throw pillows are monogrammed.  However, I never had the pleasure of owning any monogrammed jewelry. Not even in the Eighties when a trip to local flea market could result in a gaudy gold-plated necklace.

Sex and the City’s character Carrie made the Eighties trend ever more popular, and the show’s sixth season saw Carrie searching for her necklace and herself. In a sense the necklace was a reminder to Carrie to stay true to herself. You may not need to wear your name on your chest to remind you of who you are, but monograms are simply fun to wear. 

South Moon Under, a favorite online spot, offers a great range of  monogrammed jewelry by Jennifer Zeuner.  Some of her notable pieces include:  a gold plated bangle for $75.00, a cursive Carrie-esque gold vermeil necklace for $143.00,  and a swirly initial necklace $176.00. My only complaint is that it takes four to six weeks for processing. (Sad face) Nevertheless, just in time for Christmas.

Fun Fridays! Sex and The City 2: Champagne and Fashion!

Hello Divas!

I hope your Friday has started off beautifully! Enjoy the gorgeous sun!

If you are like me, you love Sex and the City.  Although the series featured some risque subjects, what always  resonated with me was the love and deep friendship these 4 women have for each other.  They fought, they hurt each other, but they always maintained the core of their friendship.  I think Samantha said it best in the first movie, they are soul mates.  Most people do not believe a soul mate can be a friend but I do.  I have a core group of friends and I know they are my soul mates.  We have all fought and been hurt by one another.  Sometimes we don't see each other much but in the end, we always find our way back to the core of our friendship.  They are like my sisters and we always have each other's back.

Okay that was a bit sappy. So let's get to the fun part!  Another reason I love Sex and the City is the fashion and glamour of course.  And the shoes....oh the shoes! What diva does not want a shoe closet like Carrie's?  Or the penthouse apartment on Park Avenue in the Upper East Side like Charlotte?  Or the successful legal career and doting husband like Miranda.  Or the freedom and success enjoyed by Samantha.  But back to the fashion and shoes.  I found some screen shots of the ladies in the movie and I wanted to share them with you.  

This look is so me! I love dresses and high heels. And those oversized Aviators are killing it!

Love these Louboutin pumps.  I hear the girls are rocking Louboutins hard in Sex and the City 2.

I love this dress!  It is a halter so Samantha can remove her cardigan to glam it up for night with Louboutins of course!  But she is rocking it really casual for day with the cardigan and flip flops. Nice! My kind of look!

Of course the movie will feature more fashion, fun, and lots of champagne.  I hear Moet & Chandon has major placement in this movie.  And Champagne is my favorite drink of all time!

Are you going to see Sex and the City?  It officially opens May 27.  However there are tons of pre-screenings taking place across the country.
