Leighton Meester at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards

when Leighton Meester attended the 2010 Teen Choice Awards, she too had a pretty makeup look, created by none other than CoverGirl's celeb makeup artist Molly R. Stern.

Molly shares what products, and how she used them, to create this soft, feminine look...

for her face:

"i prepped Leighton's skin with Josie Marin Argan Oil Skin Primer and lightly moisturized with Sk-11 Facial Lift Emulsion. next, i sparingly used CoverGirl Clean Liquid Makeup.

for her eyes:

"we wanted a celestial glow with a smidge of an edge. so i first based her eye with NARS Cream Chadow in Corfu on the lid, then with Shu Uemura P Gold 94 over the top. i added a little silver sparkly glittery shadow from RMK, a treasure i found in japan, to the inside of the lid and under the outer edge of the eye. next, i lined the top of the lid at the lash line and under the eye with CoverGirl LiquiLineBlast Eyeliner in Blue Boom. for her lashes, 2 coats of CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion in Brown was the perfect finish."

on her cheeks:

"i used Kevin Aucoin Creamy Moist Glow in Nuelle and dusted YSL Touché Blush over the top. to set her look for the red carpet i dusted all over with La Mer Treatment Powder Foundation in Linen.

on her lips:

"i wanted a long lasting nude so i chose CoverGirl Oulast Lipstain in Nude Kiss on the lip with CoverGirl ShineBlast Lipgloss in Dazzle over top."

thanks Molly-- fabulous work!

YSL's Parisienne Eau de Parfum: My Review

Hello Divas!

I hope your Monday is wonderful. Remember life is what you make it so make it grand!

Recently I was given the opportunity to try Yves Saint Laurent's new fragrance, Parisienne. This fragrance is a floral scent with hints of Blackberry, Rose, and Sandlewood. This parfum comes in cute packaging and the ad with Kate Moss is insane! How does she look so good after all of these years?

But, I am not a fan. I traditionally like light florals with a hint of citrus or parfums with hints of musk or vanilla. Parisienne smells like a scent my grandmother would wear...... not my kind of scent. Also I felt the scent contained a bit too much alcohol to be a Eau de Parfum. Eau de Parfums usually contain less alcohol and more of the actual scent. Eau de Toilettes have more alcohol. However I digress. Most importantly, this scent did not work well with my body chemistry at all. After wearing it for a few days, I felt the scent was a bit overbearing. But if you are a Diva who loves strong floral scents or think this is a great scent for your Mom or Grandmother then Parisienne may be the perfect scent.

A 1.6 fluid ounce of YSL's Parisienne retails for $65.00 and you can purchase it here or at any Sephora.

Now this post has prompted me to ask you Divas a question. What parfum did you try that you absolutely did not like? Please share! One of your duds may be my favs! LOL!

Toodles!

New Scent: YSL's Elle

Hello Divas!

I hope your day is filled with love and beauty! I am so cold here in Atlanta and I am running errands all day for the kids. Doctor appointments, grocery store, and school activities. Whew! Well today I am wearing a new scent that I recently fell in love with. It is YSL's Elle. This scent is light yet seductive, flirty yet spicy. I love the contrasts of this scent! I know I can wear it to the office but also on a hot date night with the hubby! This scent contains notes of peony, pink berries, and patchouli. And the bottle is just too pretty! A nice purple with the signature gold YSL logo...delicious! A ounce bottle of Eau de Parfum retails for $61 and you can purchase it here or at any Sephora! Also Sephora is offering free shipping on any order over $50.00!

Toodles!
