Sephora Sundays 2011 #1: It's back!

Last January, I started a Sephora Sundays mini series that included products that I liked and available at Sephora's website. (See last year's series here!) I can spend hourssss just browsing on Sephora.com to checking out their new products, samples and just to look at products I really want to try. For 2011, I wanted to start it again since it's the new year and there's always lots of new stuff being added.

Here are some of my current items on my wishlist:

pacifica fragrance kit
1) Pacifica I Love fragrance - This set contains 5 solid perfumes, including Tuscan Blood Orange, Tahitian Gardenia, Hawaiian Ruby Guava, Indian Coconut Nectar, and French Lilac. I have already tried all of these except French Lilac.. and they're all yummy!

See my past Pacifica reviews here.
tarte complexion kit
2) Tarte Radiant & Rested Luminous Complexion Collection- This kit is also a limited edition set from Sephora that contains 5 products to give your face a radiant look for the new year!
This set contains: Natural Cheek Stain in Glisten, EmphasEYES™ Inner Rim Brightener, Recreate™ Silicone-Free Primer With Wrinkle Rewind™ Technology, Smooth Operator™ Illuminating Serum, Park Ave Princess Mineral Bronzer. I am def. interested in the inner rim brightener.. :)
josie maran eye love you palette
Josie Maran Eye Love You Too Palette- Looks like the packaging upgraded but the colors are so perfect for the Spring season. Love the light pink, green and blues. :) It's $42 which is a bit pricey for me right now since I've tons of other eyeshadows to use. :)

Holiday Series #5: Pacifica Wanderlust Kit in Tuscan Blood Orange scent

I've been a huge fan of Pacifica since I was introduced to their scent, Tuscan Blood Orange last year (Remember my Pacifica Travel Set from last year?) This year, they have a new kit for the Holidays- Wanderlust Collection ($28, USD)- that contains their full size Body butter, Body wash and rollerball perfume.

It's a dream come true!

Their body butters used to be in a tub jar which made it easy for germs to collect; can you imagine your hands digging in the cream every time? The past year, they've repackaged the body butters into a tube so it'll be cleaner and easier to squeeze out of. I slather this on after I shower with their Body Wash. It smells deliriously good and the sweeet scent makes me not want to get out of the shower!

Their rollerball perfumes is a convenient way to get touch ups of the scent during the day. It's easy to use and extremely fragrant. The scent of blood orange, raspberry and strawberry notes is delicious and so sweet, I could just eat it!! But I won't... ;) (Have you tried the California Star Jasmine scent before?)

Currently available at Sephora.com and Pacifica.com, so get your Wanderlust kit for the holidays! Enjoy :)
P.S. Kits are the way to go this year; can you tell I'm obsessed with holiday kits this year?

ShopNBC Day of Beauty is TODAY!

So, I got caught up watching the beginnings of ShopNBC's Day of Beauty last night and was so enthralled with the new products that I couldn't turn it off.  Not real smart as I have an extremely early morning and an all day conference for work that I'm facilitating. WTH?

Surprisingly, I'm fresh a daisy this morning, bright-eyed and feeling like I got 10 hours, forget 8 hours, of sleep.  Don't worry, I know it'll catch up and I'll be better .... well, tomorrow night as I know I'll be stuck to my TV screen again tonight watching the remainder of the Day of Beauty into the late night hours.

So enough about me ... this is about what appears to be fantastic, mostly new beauty products.  And you'll find them all day long on ShopNBC and ShopNBC.com.  Trust me, ladies and fellas, you do not want to miss this.  I really encourage you to check them out on TV if you're able as the demonstrations of these products are so amazing they sell themselves.  You won't get them from just a perusal of the website.  True beauty education awaits you on the tube.

A gander at the ones that are jumping out to me?
Skinn Cosmetics Plasma Foundation Kit ($45).  It's the channel's Today's Top Value and comes with a sweet gift with purchase (GWP), which includes a brand new foundation brush.  The kit itself offers you two complementary foundation shades as well as a concealer - all in Dimitri James' sure-to-be-famous new plasma technology.  You choose between Light, Medium or Deep. I saw the demonstrations of this foundation.  A-mazing! The models truly looked as if they could be front and center on any top beauty magazine - forget the photoshopping ... they were flawless!

Skinn Cosmetics Line Stop Eye Treatment System ($49), a four piece set that includes Dimitri's Crease Release Eye Serum, Sinta Fill for Eyes, EnergEyes Anti-Fatigue Eye Firming Mask (loaded with green tea) and Luxe Premier Mascara was truly "eye-opening" in the on air presentation and I do mean that pun literally, ladies. Oh my gosh ... you should have seen the way these products worked on the model's eyes.  If you're like me you've seen many an on-air demonstration of brands parading eye and facial products to yield jaw-dropping results only to leave you feeling like, "eh".  No here, my friends.  I've gotta have this kit having seen this demonstration.  Truly impressive!

Another product that looks like something I'll wanna try?
New skincare complany ClickR is launching exclusively on ShopNBC until January 2011, then they'll be available at Sephora as well.  For now, though, you can only get beauty veteran Florence Sender's new skincare line on ShopNBC.  Her Diamond Dust Skin Polish ($30) from the Figure It Out Line looks and sounds wonderful.  Diamond Dust is a lightweight face and neck treatment that polishes, exfoliates and refines pores (without a grainy feel, by the way ... it's not a physical exfoliation texture, the ingredients just act in the manner of exfoliation) , evens tone and controls moisture to eliminate dullness and restore a beautiful, glowing radiance to the skin. It's said to bathe skin with a treasure trove of special ingredients including real diamond dust, roots, seeds, herbs and gold and silver which enhance the total appearance of the skin. By utilizing unique ingredients such as minerals from the earth including gold, silver and diamond dust, as well as minerals from the sea, root and seed extracts, vitamins, fruits, flowers and rich proteins in the form of peptides, Florence feels strongly that each vegan element be added for a reason - to create incredibly effective, gentle, fast-acting skincare, while using only the most purposeful ingredients that your skin craves.

Another product showing impressive results on air today?
Wrinkle Magic Instant Wrinkle Reducer w/ Light Concealer  ($20).  Never heard of this before, but the on air demonstration was quite compelling.  It works by instantly and temporarily tightening and filling in the lines and wrinkles and lightly conceals and brightens the skin and eye area.  The eye area appeared lifted and it really helped to open the eye bringing a more youthful appearance in the before and after pics.

There's soooo much more to see.  What I've given you is just the very tip of the iceberg.  You'll also find great value and products from Cosmedicine, BECCA, Pacifica, Wholearth, RAW Essentials and others.  There's even a Vapour Organic Discovery Kit of four of their products for under $30 available today. Plus, everything is available with their Value Pay plan today on Beauty Day, which breaks payments up for you without having to pay interest.  Sweet!

Pacifica fragrance collection: California Star Jasmine

At the end of last year, I had bought myself the Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Travel set because I couldn't get over the over-the-top citrus-y Tuscan Blood Orange scent! It was also an early holiday gift for myself. :) If you're not familiar with Pacifica, they carry natural fragrances & perfumes in florals, herbals, fruits and woods and all in various products- including candles, spray perfumes, soaps, and more!

Recently, Pacifica added a new floral fragrance to their collection- California Star Jasmine. This scent is meant to capture the fresh, California air (probably near a sunny beach or something) and has notes of star jasmine, orange and faint driftwood. I tried this scent on their new roll-on perfumes and I really like the packaging of this. Each roll-on perfume ($12, USD, 0.33 oz.) has a screw top and metal-ish rollerball on top where the scent will come through smoothly on your skin. It's tall and slim and I have even mistaken this as my pen when reaching into my purse.

Another great product is their Solid Perfumes ...
As part of the Tuscan Blood Orange Travel Set, I thought this was very convenient to carry with for a party or a night out on the town for quick touch-ups. These are made of natural oils and waxes so everything is paraben-free and also 100% vegan. You can get these for $9 USD each in your favorite scents. Another fruity favorite of mine is the Brazilian Mango Grapefruit. This delicious blend is tropical and makes you wish you were sitting by the tiki bar with a delicious fruity drink. :)

Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Travel Set

In my previous Holiday Series post, I mentioned a must-have for the holidays- the Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Travel Set. Inside the box is a wonderful trio- the solid perfume, the soy candle and body butter.

Purchased from Sephora, this set costs $14. It's a great deal because you get a full-size solid perfume which would normally cost $9.

I had originally bought their soap, which unfortunately is not part of the set, because I want another one! The scent is amaazing- smells so fruity and delicious!

Now, you can see these products really tiny but they're great for traveling (except for the candle, unless you want your hotel room to smell nice too!)

The solid perfume is great for your pocket or purse- which I carry with me everyday!

The body butter is white but goes on very smoothly. It also absorbs quickly and doesn't leave an oily finish.

To see why else you should get one of these today..

Gorgeous packaging! This is such a cute box that you can reuse to store your other precious cosmetics and other small trinkets.

More details on what exactly Tuscan Blood Orange is, if you're curious. I was! :)
