Nikki Reed at Teen Vogue's Young Hollywood Party

i'm sure by now you've seen the gorgeous Nikki Reed from her appearance at this year's Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party (mark celeb makeup artist Mai Quynh created the look), but i just had to add my two cents and fill you in on a few details of this glam and fab look!

the standouts (all makeup by mark.): gorgeous, glowing skin without shine was thanks to a dusting of Matte-nificent Oil-Absorbing Powder in Honey/Golden to her t-zone; naturally flushed cheeks courtesy of Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Peachy and eyes that commanded attention thanks to neutral cream and coffee eyeshadow shades in Java and Biscotti lined with No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in Foxy Brown and finished with black mascara.

to finish the entire look, a sheer caramel lipcolor (Lots of Lacquer Hook Up Super Color Lip Gloss in Thrill) with a beige gloss (Pro Gloss Hook Up Plumping Lip Shine in Swell ) was applied to add dimension and subtle shine.

Lucy Hale at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards

did you tune it to the 2010 Teen Choice Awards on monday night? if so, i'm sure you enjoyed seeing all of the gorgeous hair and makeup looks! one of my favorite looks was on Lucy Hale. she's gorgeous naturally, but i really love how her makeup look amped up the drama factor, perfectly suited for her just-edgy-enough dress and fierce shoes (love!).

mark celebrity makeup artist Mai Quynh explains how she created the Pretty Little Liars star's Teen Choice Awards makeup look:

on her eyes:

"to begin, i used the Concealer Brush to apply the bronze shade from the Keep It Going Longwear Eyeliner & Shadow in Surreal to her lashline and blended upwards to the crease. next, i applied a top coat of I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Gioia into the crease and smudged up to her brow bone, then lined both her upper and bottom lashline with I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Java using the Flat Eyeliner Brush. to add an extra hint of drama, i lined her inner lids with Eyemarker Color On Line in Jet and finished with two coats of Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven."

on her face:

"i prepped Lucy's face by applying Face Xpert Flawless Touch Makeup in Golden with the Foundation Brush to even out her skin tone. next, i dabbed Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer in Light/Medium under her eyes, blending it in with the Concealer Brush."

"for her cheeks, i used the mark Foundation Brush to apply Just Pinched Instant Blush in Peachy to the apples of her cheeks. i then dusted a light coating of Matte-nificent Oil-Absorbing Powder to eliminate any excess shine in her t-zone. using a combination of Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder in Pro Golden and Glowdacious Illuminating Powder in Shimmied Up with the Powder Brush, i accentuated the contours of her face and added a gorgeous radiance."

on her lips:

"i used Juice Jems Lip Gloss in Juicy Fig to give Lucy's lips the perfect amount of color and shine, without looking overdone."
