Hello Divas!
I hope you are fabulous!
Three weeks ago, I traveled to Charlotte, NC to the Mocha Moms Southeast Regional Conference to give a presentation on "How to Discount Shop for Beauty and Fashion Finds and How to use Social Media for the best deals." During the conference, the Mocha Moms sponsored an intimate vendor hall//area and the vendors were on point! There were shoe vendors, jewelry vendors, original art vendors and several beauty products vendors. I was particularly fascinated with the Cara B Naturally Hair Care Products display. This is a brand new natural hair care line especially formulated for ethnically diverse children and families. Cara B Naturally products do not include any parabens, petrolatum, phthalates, sulfates, mineral oil, artificial fragrances and preservatives. My friend Renee, who is a organic enthusiast, was all over this line. Of course, I had to check it out for luxe baby. She was out of shampoo and conditioner, so I said why not.
The Cara B Naturally line includes a moisturizing shampoo, leave in conditioner/moisturizer, hair mist, body lotion and soap. I purchased the shampoo and let my friend Renee be the guinea pig for the conditioner and hair mist. I am always skeptical of using different moisturizing products on luxe baby's hair, because her hair is so thick and needs mucho moisture. Light weight products just don't cut it. However, Renee, has been using the products and loves them. So I will test them out on luxe baby's hair. But I do love the shampoo. It is super moisturizing and lathers with ease. It leaves luxe baby's hair soft and manageable. Plus it smells good. It has a pleasant and soothing chamomile fragrance. Most importantly, it does not burn her eyes. I usually use Carol's Daughter Rosemary Mint Shampoo on luxe baby and if it gets in her eyes, it is just a disaster!
Cara B Naturally was founded by two sisters, Landra and Kristi. They are the absolute sweetest women ever and they are very involved in all aspects of the company. They were willing to answer very in depth questions about the products and their backgrounds. Here is a pic of the founders and me in the middle wearing my Donna Rico Dress. Isn't the split neck divine?
I digress. Kristi has an insane curl pattern and she told me she uses the hair mist on her hair to maintain the curl pattern and keep the frizzies away. I love her hair!
Cara B Naturally products range in price from $10-$13 so it is very affordable compared to other natural hair care products. You can purchase the products online here. Also look for Cara B Naturally at your favorite drugstore or health food store very soon. The sisters are working to bring the products to consumers locally.

L'Occitane Boutiques: Experience Provence Without Traveling to France
Hello Divas!
I hope your life is marvelous! Be thankful for all that you have and you won't have time to be envious of others. So true.
From yesterday's post, you Divas know how much I love natural beauty products like shea butter. Especially shea butter combined with essential oils. Shea butter mixed with sweet almond oil or lavender oil makes my skin feel like "butta' plus the oils make the shea butter smell so good!
If you read my blog, you know I especially love L'Occitane hand and body butters because they contain all natural ingredients like shea butter, are super hydrating to the skin, and the packaging is simple yet classic. I usually purchase my favorite L'Occitane hand cream from Sephora, but this summer I was in an airport that had a L'Occitane boutique. After visiting the boutique, I have committed myself to shopping at L'Occitane boutiques from now on.
Entering the L'Occitane boutique is like entering a serene spa. First, there are candles burning, and the lighting is not overly bright but muted. I instantly felt calm and relaxed when entering the boutique. Of course, it smells like Lavender, which is a key ingredient in most of their products. Lavender is known to calm and soothe. I love it! Next, the display of products are well organized and there are samples of everything. I particularly loved the display of french soaps. I love picking up travel size soaps when traveling and L'Occitane has shea butter travel sized soaps for only $4. That is a good deal for a quality product!
More importantly, the customer service at the L'Occitane boutique was superb! The associate was well versed on the product offerings. She encouraged me to try different products and she was so nice, I could not leave the store without buying something. Good customer service will ensure a return customer every time. I don't understand why other retailers don't get it.
Anyhoo, L'Occitane boutiques are located in over 70 countries around the world. Click here to find a boutique near you and experience Provence without traveling to France.

Good Ole Olive Oil
Hello Divas!
I hope your weekend was fabulous! Mine was hectic, but good. Well last week, I was visiting one of my absolute fav beauty blogs, Shake Your Beauty, and Ms. Tia announced that she was preggers with.....a little girl. Yeeeaaah! She asked her readers for recommendations of products she can use during her pregnancy. Well ladies, I recommended Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I tell you E.V. Olive Oil is a must have, all natural, beautifying moisturizer that rocks! When I became pregnant, my Aunt recommend that I use Olive Oil to prevent stretch marks.
She said it would loosen my skin so that it could stretch freely and it would keep my skin moisturized. When you have a baby growing inside your belly, your skin becomes very itchy and dry. Well I massaged my belly, legs, arms, breast, and rear with E.V. Olive Oil every morning and night and two pregnancies later, I do not have one stretch mark! Now you see why I am absolutely in love with E.V. Olive Oil. I also discovered that I could use it on my hair for moisture and sheen. But if you do use it on your hair, only use a teeny bit. I also used it on my face when my skin was extra dry. For some reason, while pregnant, the skin on my face was super dry when normally I have oily skin. Well the E.V. Olive Oil moisturized my face and did not leave it oily. My skin just glowed! And after doing some research, I discovered that Extra Virgin Olive Oil has antioxidants and is a great anti-aging moisturizer for the face! What more can you ask for?? Again, my skin glowed everywhere I used the E.V. Olive Oil! I can't rave about E.V. Olive Oil enough! I still use E.V. Olive Oil when my skin or hair is dry or I just need that glow factor. I use Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil. You can purchase it at any grocery store. Divas try E.V. Olive Oil and I know you will love it too!
