Chanel Parfum Fragrance Wardrobe

I have a blessed life and pretty amazing friends.  Over the Holiday break, a good friend of mine gifted me a mini Chanel Parfum Fragrance Wardrobe and I was beyond estatic.  If you have been reading this blog, you know that I love Chanel Parfums.  Coco Mademoiselle is my signature scent and I do love the classic scent of Chanel No. 5.  It never goes out of style.  This set includes Chanel classics such as:

Of course, No. 5 and Mademoiselle are no brainers for me.  I had never smelled Coco or No. 19 but I heard Coco was another signature Chanel scent that one must own.  I had previously tried Allure before and it is a lighter flirtier scent than the rest of the parfums in the set.  My new love is Coco.  It is intense but has a very subtle sexy lingering scent.  I am definitely going to rock Coco for a minute.  I did not like No. 19.  It is too strong and masculine for me.

I have never owned pure Parfum before, so this was a real treat.  What I did learn quickly is pure Parfum is very potent.  If you use more than a few drops, you will drown yourself and other people with the scent.  I put on one too many drops of Chanel No. 5 and I thought I was going to throw up.  Two maybe three drops is more than enough!

Because of the pure potency of the parfums, this set will last me a very long time.  Like I said two maybe  three drops is enough.  The miniature bottles come with stoppers and all you have to do is dab the stopper behind your ears and on your pulse points and you are done. Love it!

Each miniature bottle contains .12 ounces of parfum and the set retails for $110.00.  Considering the longevity of the scents and the variety this is a true steal!  It is available at Nordstroms.

Day 7: Rose Gold Watches

Last season, the trend in menswear inspired clothing was the gold bold faced link watch. This season, Michael Kors offers the same trend in a rose gold. Hello? Did you hear me?  I said rose gold.  When was the last time you wore it?   I had not either until until last year. So why do I want it?  Because so few wear it. The feminine color tames the menswear trend with it's pinkish tone and makes this menswear inspired watch ever so unique.  You can purchase the Michael Kors Runway Watch in rose gold from Nordstrom for $ 250.00

DIOR 5 COULEUR DESIGNER EYE PALETTE: GREEN WITH ENVY

Day 16 features Dior Cosmetics.  Dior is a favorite of mine....not my absolute favorite, which is Lancome, but I love their eye cream and lip glosses.  The eye palettes are Fierce, but I have never purchased one.  Maybe I will for the holiday season.

I spent my entire summer attending weddings. I tried to create a new makeup look each time, but it seemed that I could only work the smokey eye. Lucky for me, the makeup artists are now creating smokey eyes with colors other than the traditional browns and blacks. I ran across two Dior palettes that I really loved. One purple that matched my bridesmaid dress and another green. Unfortunately, my budget would allow me to choose only one. Because I was obligated to wear the fuchsia bridesmaid dress, I purchased the purple palette. 

I keep thinking of the lovely green palette though. It contains a "creamy blendable base, one versatile iridescent eye shadow, one satiny contouring shade, one shimmering highlighter and one sultry, intensely matte eyeliner, plus two double-ended applicators" that help you get that doe eyed shimmer right in the corners of your eyes. The Dior colors are so rich, and even though green is probably the color that looks less favorable on me, I love the green on my eyes.  Greens and blues really enhance deep brown eyes.  The Dior 5 Coulers Designer Eye Palette is 58.00 at Nordstrom.

I have a huge love affair with dresses. I love wearing dresses.  They make me feel pretty and feminine. I am always shopping for dresses at Department and discount stores.  Furthermore, if you buy a dress, it is one outfit and you don't have to worry about finding a shirt to match a skirt or trousers.  Dresses are just simple like that.

Before my Blogher trip, I went to Nordstroms to find a cute dress on sale.  I needed a professional but cute dress for my speech.  Essentially I needed a day dress that could also work as an evening cocktail dress.  Well I found the perfect dress by Donna Rico.  I love this dress so much, I have since given two more speeches/presentations and I have worn this dress to both.  I think of it as my lucky presentation dress. LOL!

This dress is made of stretch sateen cotton.  It has tight cap sleeves and the bodice fits snug but not overly tight.  It is heavily lined and I love that.  I always feel like I am getting more quality if the dress is lined properly.  The dress is sturdy and can be worn to work with classic black pumps or for dinner and cocktails with high-heeled sandals.  Plus I love the floral print.  There is nothing like a well tailored floral print dress.  This dress reminds me of the classic dresses women wore in the 50s and 60s when wearing dresses, pumps, and pearls was an everyday occurrence. Classic.

This is my new favorite dress and I can't wait to purchase my next Donna Rico creation.  As a matter of fact, I have to have this classic floral print one pocket day dress. The boat neck and fitted bodice is insane!  So me!

Achieve Clean and Moisturized Skin with 3Lab's Perfect Cleansing Foam

Remember my post on BeautyFix?  Well they sent me out a BeautyFix subscription of their Spring Collection.  I was able to choose the products I received from a variety of "hot" beauty items and I chose a 3LAB Perfect Cleansing Foam and 3LAB "M" Cream.  More on the  "M" Cream later.

I have been using the Cleanser for a month now and I absolutely love it.  The best feature of this cleanser is that you only need a small pea size amount to get the absolute richest and creamiest lather.  Genius!  I know the cleanser will last a very long time and that makes me feel better about the $40 price tag.  If it lasts me 6 months, then I will definitely buy another tube. The Perfect Cleansing Foam is very gentle.  It is not irritating and my skin is so soft and moisturized after use.  For someone who has sensitive skin, this is my perfect type of cleanser.  The one thing I do not like about the cleanser is that it burns my eyes.  So please follow the instructions and DO NOT get the cleanser into your eyes.  Not pretty.

3LAB's Perfect Cleansing Foam is formulated with tiny Vitamin-E microbeads and when the cleanser is massaged on your face in a circular motion, the beads help to stimulate circulation.

Clinique's Even Better Skin Tone Corrector: A Life Saver!

I hope everyone is having an awesome day!

If you have been reading my blog, you know that I have been experiencing extremely severe breakouts. Too much stress in my life! I am working on removing all negative elements in my life, so hopefully the breakouts will cease.

During my breakouts, my skin was scarring pretty bad from the acne. I know I needed a skin tone corrector or lightening cream to get rid of the scarring. While reading Shake Your Beauty, one of my favorite blogs, Ms. Tia raved about Clinique's Even Better Skin Tone Corrector with SPF 20. She too was experiencing breakouts and she said this cream evened her skin tone in 4 weeks! Nice!

I knew I had some Clinique samples in my beauty arsenal, so I searched and found the Even Better Skin Tone Corrector. Now this version does not include SPF 20, but I was eager to give it a try. I am happy to report that after 5 weeks of use, my dark marks are almost gone! This cream really really works. Now I am used to using Retinol cream which works within 14 days, but this cream does the job slowly but beautifully over time. Since I have been using this cream, I have not experienced any breakouts and my skin is so very smooth! Love it! My skin tone is brighter, my skin's texture has improved, and it is more even. What is there not to like?
