beauty on a budget: Aveeno Positively Nourishing Hydrating Body Wash

i am in love with this body wash from Aveeno. Positively Nourishing Hydrating Body Wash was sent to me as a travel size sample, and from first use i was hooked. not wanting to be without it before it ran out, i looked for in-store.

no luck.

when i finally did find it, it was sold out. multiple times (sigh). i think i looked for the Fig & Shea Butter flavor over a month before i finally found it in stock! the women in my area know a good body wash when they find it, i must say (LOL!). the smell is divine and the shea butter leaves my skin so gorgeously soft. the creamy formula lathers up nicely and rinses away easily, i can't get over what a fabulous product this is-- it's such a treat after a tough morning workout and even at the end of the day before bed. :)

Nature's Gate- Papaya Velvet Moisture Body Wash

One of my favorite HG products from the PrettyCity.com Green and Gorgeous event in June, is Nature Gate's Papaya Velvet Moisture Body Wash. How I never discovered this brand before is beyond me because they offer an extensive line of hair, oral, skin and even acne care with natural ingredients. I am going to check out my local Whole Foods next week to stock up!

The product I received in my PrettyCity.com goodie bag was the Papaya Body Wash. It comes in a pump, which is my favorite thing now (can't bother with flipping lids anymore, when I just do one pump and get my product) and the formula is amazing. It has a light citrus scent and leaves your body feeling soft and clean. Its formulated with papaya extracts to brighten dull skin, sweet almond oil for the great scent, and apricot kernel oil for moisturizing. This is paraben-free and vegan!! It's liquid-y, not gel-like at all, and when used with a shower pouf, it creates a luxurious lather. Available at drugstore.com for $7.49 US.

I couldn't help but browse the other Nature's Gate products on the drugstore.com, which is where you would have to get this unless your local health store carries this brand.

Hot Drugstore Find of the Week: Dove Sensitive Skin Nourishing Body Wash

Dove has just released a new sensitive skin moisturizing body wash that is simply the bomb! Why? For the past 15 years, I have only used Dove soap for sensitive skin. It is the only bar soap that will not break me out or dry out my skin. See I have super hyper sensitive skin. If I wash my body with the wrong product, I break out in the worse way. Ugh! Although I absolutely love body washes, I have to be very careful using them. If I notice one bump, blemish, or dryness within a few days of use, I have to stop using it! So when I discovered Dove was releasing a body wash specially formulated for sensitive skin, just like their awesome soap, I was elated!

This body wash, like the soap, is hypo-allergenic, soap free, and unscented. However, I found that there is a scent but it is very mild and pleasant. It also contains NutriumMoisture™ which is Dove's new patented technology that uses 100% natural moisturizers that nourish the skin well below the surface. Genius! Divas this body wash lathers like a dream! Plus it is so moisturizing. After use, your body feels like you have slathered it in lotion! No kidding. But the best thing about this body wash is that I can use it without worrying about whether my skin will have a negative reaction. Aaaah! Now that is what you call piece of mine.

Hot Drugstore Find of the Week: Pure and Natural Grapefruit and Pomegranate Body Wash

I hope your Wednesday is filled with joy! My hot drugstore find of the week is actually another Target find! I have discovered a new body wash that I am just in love with! As I was walking down the soap aisle in Target, a luscious smell greeted my nose. I looked up and I was in front of the body washes. So I proceeded to smell each one until I discovered that this wonderful scent was coming from the Pure & Natural Renewing Grapefruit and Pomegranate body wash. The scent is outstanding! It has a very intense grapefruit scent with a hint of pomegranate. The body wash lathers very easily. A quarter size amount was enough! Also it is very very moisturizing. The body wash left my skin so soft and smooth. Oh and did I say that it smells absolutely yummy! I love it! Plus this body wash is 99% all natural! It contains pure glycerin, and is infused with almond oil, grapefruit and pomegranate extract. Pure and Natural products are paraben free, biodegradable, and come in 100% recyclable packaging. Fabulous! This body wash retails for $6.99 for a 13 oz bottle. But I purchased mine on sale at Target for $4.99.
