For Sensitive Skin, use Dye & Perfume-Free detergents
I've been using Tide my entire life, so when I heard they had a perfume and dye-free detergent called, Tide Free, I knew I had to try this. I recently got a new washing machine because it just broke one day- so it's one of those energy efficient ones and with lots of buttons to press. I have more choices now basically and I can finally use these other products that are out in the market!
I was recently sent the above products to try, which were featured in beauty expert's Rebekah George's video on winter skincare beauty tips. My skin is more sensitive in the winter so it's definitely important to make sure your clothes, which are basically touching your skin 24/7, are not irritating your skin.
Learn more about the products featured..
Tide Free & Gentle Liquid Laundry Detergent- is by far the most used of the products here. This gently cleans my clothes as well as expected and the scent just smells fresh. Nothing artificial or strong that I can tell if I use too much of my detergent. It's works great and cleans my clothes just as well as my other Tide detergents without the perfume scent.
Tide Stain Release Free In-Wash Booster- I have never used one of these before, so I was quite excited to try these. The clothes I used had several stains from spilled juice (purposely, of course), some dirt/mud on my jeans, but nothing drastic. I used this in my wash and my clothes looked good as new. Yay!
Bounce Sheets- The same non-"scent" as the Tide Free& Gentle detergent, these bounce sheets kept my clothes nice and static-free. It does the same job without its regular smell.
Downy Free & Sensitive Fabric Softener- Like the stain booster, I have never used fabric softeners before, mostly because I never had a need to make my clothes feel softer. But I have tried this several times already with my fleece blankets and sheets and immediately felt a noticeable difference. Its plushness is back and there is no strong scent lingering around.
Overall, these products that are free of perfume and dyes are perfect with those who have sensitive skin and also sensitive noses! Sometimes my nose gets itchy from smelling all this and they work just as well without the additional smell. So do your skin & noses a favor this winter and pick up one of these Free & Sensitive products!!
(Thanks to Tide's PR for letting me try this!)

Clarisonic Plus: Week 2 & 3
Hello Divas!
Life is beautiful! So enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
Well it has been three weeks now since I have been using the Clarisonic Plus. Sorry I missed last week's post about the Clarisonic Plus. I was running around like a crazy person and barely made it through the week. Whew!
But I have still been using my Clarisonic Plus day and night. So here are my pros and cons:
PROS
My skin is brighter and smoother. Also my blackhead blemishes seem to be fading fast. They are less evident. The body brush is phenemenol. It has definitely improved my skin tone on my chest, back and elbows. I have recently started using it on the back of my ankles. I have some discoloration in that area due to my excessive wear of 4 inch pumps.
CONS
The Clarisonic brand facial cleansers are not a go. First, the gel cleanser for oily skin, broke me out something fierce. So I decided to use the gentle cleanser for sensitive skin and it does not lather...at all. I am so not a fan of non-lathering facial cleansers. I always feel like my skin is still dirty after using them. I though about using the nourishing care cleanser for normal skin, but decided not to take any chances and just use my own cleanser. Now that I am using my cleanser, I am much happier. No breakouts!
So in conclusion, the Clarisonic Plus is still performing miracles on my skin. The Clarisonic brand facial products are not working for me.
Check back next week for my week 4 update!

Hot Drugstore Find of the Week: Sea Breeze Astringent
Hello Divas!
I hope all is well in your world! Life has been pretty good to me lately and I am so thankful to God.
Today I am featuring an oldie but goodie drugstore brand astringent, Sea Breeze. I recently purchased Sea Breeze because when I went to my local CVS to purchase my staple Clean and Clear Astringent for Sensitive Skin, they were out. So I grabbed Sea Breeze Astringent for Sensitive Skin and thought it should be a good substitute.
Now I have not used Sea Breeze since high school and I was not sure how it was going to affect my skin. But I am happy to report that it has been great to my skin. You know what I love the most about Sea Breeze? I love that it really digs deep and gets all of the left over dirt and guck out of my pores. Yes, Sea Breeze cleans my face at least 50% better than my staple Clean and Clear Astringent. I am always shocked by how much dirt is on the cotton pad after using Sea Breeze. I never removed that much residue using Clean and Clear. Wow! Plus it is tingly and refreshing and it has a smell that wakes you up in the morning. Very fresh! Lastly, it does not dry out my skin. It leaves it clean but soft. This Astringent is a winner in my book.
Sea Breeze Astringent for Sensitive Skin retails for only $4.99 and you can purchase it online here or at any CVS.

Hot Drugstore Find of the Week: Dove Sensitive Skin Nourishing Body Wash
Hello Divas!
I hope your Wednesday is too awesome for words!
Dove has just released a new sensitive skin moisturizing body wash that is simply the bomb! Why? For the past 15 years, I have only used Dove soap for sensitive skin. It is the only bar soap that will not break me out or dry out my skin. See I have super hyper sensitive skin. If I wash my body with the wrong product, I break out in the worse way. Ugh! Although I absolutely love body washes, I have to be very careful using them. If I notice one bump, blemish, or dryness within a few days of use, I have to stop using it! So when I discovered Dove was releasing a body wash specially formulated for sensitive skin, just like their awesome soap, I was elated!

This body wash, like the soap, is hypo-allergenic, soap free, and unscented. However, I found that there is a scent but it is very mild and pleasant. It also contains NutriumMoisture™ which is Dove's new patented technology that uses 100% natural moisturizers that nourish the skin well below the surface. Genius! Divas this body wash lathers like a dream! Plus it is so moisturizing. After use, your body feels like you have slathered it in lotion! No kidding. But the best thing about this body wash is that I can use it without worrying about whether my skin will have a negative reaction. Aaaah! Now that is what you call piece of mine.
Dove Sesitive Skin Nourishing Body Wash retails for $8.99 and you can purchase it at any CVS.

Hot Drugstore Find of the Week: Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser
Hello Divas!
I hope your are having a fabulous hump day!
During my son's school auction, I received a bag of Neutrogena products as part of a ticket raffle. I thought oh goody, more products to try! Well when I recently ran out of my Oil of Olay facial wash, I decided to give Neturogena's Extra Gentle Cleanser a try.
At first, I was not impressed. This facial wash does not foam and I love foaming washes. I just feel like my face is really getting clean. However, this cleanser really does clean! How do I know? I always follow up with my toner and each time I use this wash, there is hardly any left over dirt or make-up! In addition, it is moisturizing. So after cleaning your face, it feels clean but not dry. Your face will have a clean but soft feel to it. Of course this cleanser is soap free, non-comedogenic (won't clog pores) and hypo-allergenic. It is specially formulated for those who have extremely sensitive skin. A 6.7 ounce bottle retails for $8 and you can purchase it here or at any CVS.

Hot Drugstore Find of the Week: Oil of Olay's Foaming Face Wash
Hello Divas!
I hope your day is filled with happiness! Today is very overcast....again. Hopefully the sun will come out later. My next bargain but awesome product I am featuring in my Recession Series, is Oil of Olay's Foaming Face Wash for Sensitive Skin.
This facial wash is an oldie but goodie. I have been using it for YEARS! I will try other cleansers, especially if my skin is acting out, but Oil of Olay's foaming face wash is a great basic everyday cleanser. What I love most about this facial wash is that it does not dry out my skin. It gets my face very clean but does not strip it. The facial wash is also 100% soap, oil, fragrance and dye free. So it is great for those who have very sensitive skin..like me. And you only have to use a nickel size amount of the wash to achieve a great foam. So it lasts for months! Oil of Olay's Foaming Face Wash for Sensitive Skin retails for $4.49 and you can purchase it here or at any CVS.
