PrettyCity's Beauty Sample Sale 2010

NYC PrettyCity's annual Beauty Sample Sale with SHAPE Magazine took place on November 17 at NYC's Greenhouse. I wait all year to attend the beauty sample sales and this is my third one! Overall, I had a lovely time (again!) meeting lots of new vendors, snacking on cupcakes, and spinning the famous SHAPE wheel for prizes! As usual, there were tons of people so it was rather crowded. However, crowds I can deal with- it is NYC afterall, but the required coatcheck got people a bit riled up. Other guests wished they had known about this beforehand incase they didn't have any cash on them.

As always, PrettyCity.com never lets you leave empty-handed so they had a nice goody bag filled with treats. Inside the bag included samples of a VitalFusion adult gummy vitamins, lip balm, KISS nails and more!

(Shape Magazine's Prize Wheel) I got SPANX and an athletic tee in size XL! I won't be wearing that but the SPANX sounds cool!

Yagolicious NYC Beauty Affair Recap

The evening of Sept. 16 was quite memorable- not only did a storm/tornado hit and left NYC, I attended my first Yagolicious Beauty Affair! (sponsored by Yagolicious Cosmetics - gotta love women entrepreneurs!) The event was held in the private room at the Beauty Bar, which is a venue with drinks, snacks and you can get your nails done at the same time. How fab is that?! Special Thanks to YAGO for the VIP invite! :)

Check out more pictures below of the diva-licious event! Though it was a small venue, everyone who attended with friends had a great time sipping on le Vive drinks, mini cupcakes and learning more about Yagolicious Cosmetics.

They didn't showcase the Yagolicious cosmetics for makeovers until halfway through the event. I was waiting to check these out!! Gorgeous colors!!

Unfortunately, I was not able to stay long enough to pick up the giftbags that evening. With the rain/storm chaos that night, traffic caused the bags to not make it in time. However, Yagolicious Cosmetics were generous enough to mail the VIP attendees the bags.

	Yes, this is the same palette that makeup artists used the same night as the Yagolicious Beauty Affair! I was drooling over this at the party! :)

NYC Pretty City's Chris Chase Salon event 8/23

As a VIPretty, I was invited to attend the NYC Pretty City event this past Monday at the Chris Chase salon in the Chelsea area. (I received a VIPretty invite, but no actual confirmation I was VIPretty yet...) Anyway, it was A LOT of fun! It was a rather short event, which was good since I wasn't able to stay long but in half hour, I got my hair curled, tousled and waved out by my stylist. Gals, if you ever go there, request for Brian! He did a FABULOUS job and gave me tips on how I should have my hair cut, styled (free advice never hurts!)

Overall, I really like these events b/c you get to check out a neighborhood salon, see how well the stylists are and you basically get a great dry style without spending a lot. Tickets for the event cost $25 and you get a goodie bag too! I got a $50 GIFT CERTIFICATE to go back to Chris Chase services or get their products, OPI nail polish, a Softlips gloss (whee! another one!), and more!

This is the view from across the snacks! Another couch for people to lounge around, as well as the goodie bags!
	See the gorgeous chandelier?? On the other side, it leads you to a magical place... downstairs! Here you can see where people get their hair washed and the line of products they use.
Sittng next to the snacks, this see-through glass wall (the decor in here is amaazing) lets you get a sneak peek into the salon.

NYLON's New York Girls Night Out on April 28 - 29, 2009

From their website, http://www.newyorkgirlsnightout.com/events/spring-nygno-nyc/,it seems like this event will be similar to the Shecky's Girls Night Out. Their website isn't as fully functional and doesn't have the information that I am looking for- ie:does a ticket purchase mean I can go to both days?

They do offer a VIP ticket, which gives you a goodie bag from their various sponsors, like the Shecky's Goodie Bag.


I won't be able to attend this Spring, but I do look forward to the Holiday event later this year in November. :)
