Relax with One's Lotion Massage Calming Bar

one bath and body massage calming bar
one massage calming bar

It's Day #3 of my Valentine's Day Series.... if you're feeling stressed (post-holidays/over-worked/financial problems/anything!) take Valentine's Day as a day to relax. Nothing beats a long bath, try taking a bubble bath using One Bath & Body's Bath Fizzer and follow it with One Bath & Body's Calming bar.

This Lotion Massaging Bar is infused with essential oils and moisturizing shea butters to keep your skin feeling soft and make you feel calm. There are also four ridges on top, which I assume is used to knead away any knots on your back. Unfortunately there needs to be A LOT more. After a few uses, it sort of just goes away and you end up with a bar of lotion. The bar does go on smoothly though when you rub it on your skin, since the warmth of your skin sorta melts the lotion. The scent is also pretty strong, like most of their other products, and it smells rather therapeutic. I really like that the lotion absorbs so there's no sticky film left on your body. Your skin will definitely feels smooth and a bit tingly afterward.

So get calm this Valentine's Day and can you say Ommmmm ? :)

Holiday Series #2: One Bath and Body - Lip Butter Balms

Holiday Series #2- Looking for stocking stuffers?
Gift all your friends on your list this year this affordable and scent-worthy lip balm from One Bath and Body. Their collection includes 6 different flavors including the Cherry Pie & Honey Cream balms that I tried. They're moisturizing with shea butters and they smells great. Its moisturizing formula contains cocoa and shea butter and various oils. These are widely available at your local Target store and oh, did I mention that these are only $3? Its a great deal and cones in a cute tin. Again like the shampoo and conditioner bars this also uses recycled packaging.

The Cherry Pie lip butter balm is my favorite- it smells like a delicious pie is baking and ready in your oven!

Made with recycled packaging, I thought I would open it up to see what was holding the lip tin in place. Inside- was a cardboard cutout with images of M&M frosted cupcakes. I thought it was a bit strange but it looks like they really recycle their goods!
Give this eco-friendly gift to your pals this holiday!

Review: One Bath and Body - Shampoo & Conditioner Bar

shampoo bar
Have you ever stood inside your bathroom and thought about all the plastic you're using & wasting with the number of bottles you have? How about the number of products you have used so far and will use in your lifetime? The number is quite frightening...

To be eco-friendly,
how about trading in 3 bottles of shampoo for one tiny bar of One's Shampoo bar? According to One Bath and Body, that's exactly how many uses you can get from a bar- 3.5 inches in diameter and an inch and a half in height. You only have to use a few swipes on your hair and you're all good. To prevent the bar from melting away, each one comes with an embossed aluminum shower tin (with holes!) so the water will drain out.

I was sent the Hair Biscuit for Yummy Hair (an orange-yellowish bar) to try and Hair Boost solid conditioner. The first thing I noticed was that they were really fragrant. If you've sensitive noses, I would not recommend. But if you like strong aromatic scents, this is perfect for you! It makes my entire bathroom smell like I'm at a spa... Since my hair is my fine and tends to get oily, I have to make sure I don't use products that make my hair even oilier. Otherwise, it will feel like its being weighed down which is unpleasant.
I have been using this for a few weeks and I have finally found my perfect methodology of using these two bars. First, my hair cannot use both shampoo bar and the conditioner bar. Unfortunately the combo weighs my hair down. Instead, I use the shampoo bar only and my hair feels thicker and more volumized- which is super! I only use the conditioner bar on my ends every 2-3 washes and my hair ends feel much more manageable. Wahoo!

There are lots more products in the One Bath and Body line- which also uses recyclable packaging- to make their products even more eco-friendly. Some other items on my wishlist include their Natural Soaps and Lotions! :)
