I achieved this twist-out by making a zig-zag part in the front and doing flat twists all around. I really liked this twist-out and will probably start doing them this way. It was less time consuming and fast drying. This is how the set looked:

Lunch with the Hubby
Love in the beach air!
The title implies that I attended a wedding AND the humidity (75%) at the beach puffed up my flat twist out. I got tons on compliments and I was happy with the outcome. I love humidity!!!
(Note: This is the same twist out that I was not happy with on Friday morning. )
Congrats to the new couple, you guys looked great!
Failed Twist-out?
On Wednesday night I touched up my twists because the ones in the back were coming loose (I went ahead and re-twisted them all).
This morning I took my twists out and I was not too pleased:
I used my afro pick to lift the roots for more volume and separated some of the clumps. Maybe it will swell throughout the day.
Fortunately, I know what I did wrong. I re-twisted on dry hair and did not dampen my hair afterwards. Without extreme moisture my hair lacks definition.

Sunday Style: Double Side Bun
My style was inspired by one of my many hairoine's the founder of K.I.S.S. Social network, Traycee.
She did this style in May 2008 and I have admired it for months, here is my interpretation:
And yes, she is relaxed. However, she has some awesome hair care tips and regimens. I was able to get on track with my healthy hair journey by reading her blog. I love my hair and I love playing in it but I am still hair lazy. The way that Traycee keeps it simple works great for me.
Sunday's Message:
Provoking the F.O.G.
Matthew 15:21-28
Sometimes we are not in the F.O.G. because the enemy is at work doing all they can to keep us out of the F.O.G. We must direct our anger at the enemy - do what is necessary to provoke the F.O.G. It will not come easy but keep in mind that we tend to cherish things more that we have to work hard to obtain.
1. Come to God real (the woman did not deny who she was)
2. Refuse to be sidetracked by distractions (She did not allow the disciples to distract her focus on Jesus)
3. Never accept your present situation as final (She refuse to take no as an answer-she demonstrated faith)
Bonus point: You can't allow your current situation to determine where God will take you.

My Hair Icon
Since I was a little girl I have always admired Kelis' style and hair, especially the hair. I loved how she was so against the grain and outside of the box. So bold to wear her hair so wild, I adored that boldness.
- When Kelis was 13 she shaved her head completely bald
- “Kelis does not like her hair with any product beyond a leave-in conditioner. So that is one of the reasons for her healthy hair. Everything has to be very clean and hydrating and conditioning. No greases, no silicones; just really gentle hair care” -Dickey
- Kelis was part of the inspiration behind the haircare line Hair Rules
- Kelis doesn’t have a relaxer
- Kelis’s natural hair color is dark brown
- One point during her career Kelis got frustrated that people only wanted to discuss her hair
- Being "Bossy" means to be in control of your own life
- Kelis loves short hair and plans on going shorter.
- Kelis was born and raised in New York, NY
