Holiday Series #8: Sally Hansen Holiday 2010 Collection

The Sally Hansen Holiday 2010 nail polish collection arrived on my doorstep right in time for the holidays and I'm excited to share this with you! With 10 gorgeous colors that scream, FESTIVE, these bright reds and plums and glittery goodness colors are perfect for any holiday dress you'll be rockin' this month and into the New Year's!

From Left to Right( Downtown Rubies, Feeling Saucy, Perfect Match or unknown, Trouble Maker, Rockstar Candy, Starry Starry Flight, Golden Ticket and Sequin Scandal.)

Unfortunately one of the polishes leaked and I couldn't read the name for it, hence no swatch for "Feeling Saucy" either. The polish that jumped out the most is Trouble Maker. The bottle makes it look a lot lighter than it is but two coats of this and you've got a gorgeous dark plum.

My favorite part of the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nailpolishes are (not only its gorgeous color ranges) but their brushes!! Its wide brush and rounded tip makes it so easy to do a neat manicure and its formula gives you a sleek shine at the end. No need for a top coat or base coat!

(Read reviews on Sally Hansen nail polishes here.)

To see swatches.......

(Note, I don't have the second from the left polish- Feeling Saucy)

(Disclaimer: I received this product from this company's PR agency to test, try and share my thoughts with my readers.)

SELF Workout in the Park- Recap 2010

This year is the third time I have participated in New York City's SELF Workout in the Park. Located at Central Park, this workout event brought women from all over the city to do one thing- workout! Similar to previous year's setup, there were booths around the main stage, and three areas- Quiet Zone for yoga/pilates/mat instructions, Main Stage for the large group workout, and the Rebound Zone- for Urban and Resistance Rebounding (aka. workout on a trampoline!)

Check out the 2009 SELF Workout in the Park recap here to compare.

Enjoy the pictures! Some of the booth sponsors worth mentioning are:
- SOYJOY- tons of Blueberry SOYJOY bars were sampled by the crowd
- Garnier Nutrisse- with makeup & hair consultations, and a Prize Wheel giveaway. You could either win a hair product or something special- like a Yoga Mat (Which I won!)
-Aerie F.I.T.- workout tanks, shorts, pants, etc. were on sale! Most were $20-$30- a great discount of their normal prices.
-SILK- gave away lots of SILK soy chocolate milk- yum!
-iVillage- giving away resistance bands- exclusive workout on their website! (have to check that out soon!)
-Asics- gave out hair-ties in a ball!

This is the main stage. A class hasn't started yet, but people are reserving their spots in front!

This is either the Sexy Stretch class or Masala Bhangra- either way, it was packed!

Look how crowded it was! There were hundreds of people!

People checking out the booths.. this was before it got really crowded and there were actually open space.

One of the best workouts, I have ever tried is Urban Rebounding. Thinking of getting a mini trampoline for this summer.. what do you think?

The Quiet Zone.. ommmm. :)

Happy New Year!

2010 is here!
My beauty-related resolutions are:

1) Use everything that I have before purchasing new things! Sort of like a Project 10 Pan- a term popular in the blogosphere/YouTube, coined by Lollipop26, where you have to use 10 products before buying something new. I wonder if throwing out old things count as part of the 10. :) Of course, this can be modified to your own terms. I am

2) Use products more often! This coincides with the first one since I need to use things before buying. However, I need to remind myself to use things, otherwise I just won't and they will collect dust.

3) Continue to use natural (or as natural as possible) products! It's important to take care of your skin and body and to limit the amount of chemicals you use in your makeup and skincare products.

4) Exercise more often! Ideally I would like to exercise 3-5 times a week, but I will be happy if I can do so at least twice a week. A few months ago, I actually had a routine after work, but then it got COLD and the winter blues makes me do other things. :)

5) Moisturize! Realized it is important to moisturize my face, so I will continue to do so more frequently.

6) Experiment with my makeup. I have so many colors (eye makeup-wise) to play with, that I want to experiment and have new & different looks! Definitely will be using more of my eye shadows from Everyday Minerals, Tarte, LORAC, etc. I also have collected a few nail polishes this year and I will continue to wear them. I have been on a makeup hiatus this month and a half, I believe, due to cold weather and a never-ending cough.

7) Look more glam :) (See 1-6 above)

8) BE HAPPY & HEALTHY! Yes, This is beauty-related because you need to have inner glow to be beautiful on the outside.
