12 Days of Luxetips Before Christmas! Day 11: Glowing Holiday Make-Up

How was your day? If you are like me, you are still trying to get those last minute gifts before Christmas! Last minute shopping always gets me in the Christmas spirit.
We are almost done with 12 Days of Luxetips Before Christmas! Of course in order to complete our luxe look, we must wear gorgeous holiday make-up! Yep, I saved the best for last! LOL! During the holidays I want to glow. So I am going to use shimmery blushes, bronzers, and shimmmery eyeshadow for that sun-kissed look. As for lip color, I may go with a bronzy nude for Christmas Eve and for Christmas Day, a dark wine or gorgeous red! Here are some products I am contemplating for Christmas Eve and Christmas.
Bobbi Brown Nude Eye Palette. Every Diva knows Bobbi Brown makes the best palettes! They are limited edition and always sell out. I love this Nude Eye Palette. It contains mattes, pearlized, and metallic shimmer colors. I would use the shimmers to create a festive holiday eye and the pinkish white to highlight the inner corner my eye. Gorgeous!
Lancome Hypnose Mascara. I love my Defencils, but this mascara creates separation, definition, and volume!
To achieve the ultimate glow, you must have a very good bronzer or blush. You guys know how much I love NARS blushes. However, their Irrestiblement Bronzer is fab! Apply it to your brown bones, cheek bones, and anywhere else you want a nice glow.
Revlon Foiled lip gloss is a fantastic bronzy pink lip gloss for a great price! It has insane shine and is super moisturizing.
Also Revlon's Black Cherry lipstick is a gorgeous dark wine that I will wear on Christmas Day! It is simply gorgeous!

Is your week filled with Christmas joy and cheer? The key to a wonderful Christmas is staying positive and remembering the reason for the season...to give and to love!
I am a tights fanatic! I LOVE tights! I mean absolutely love them! I have different colors and patterns and they make any outfit pop.
This season tights were a big hit! Bright colors are popular as well as fishnets, diamonds, and other patterns. I always get my tights from Target. I have found that the tights are of extreme good quality...I have purchased tights from Target 4 years ago and they still are in perfect condition! Gotta love Target. The tights are also affordable...between $5 and $9 bucks. Why pay more when you can have the same thing for less? Here are some tights I think will look great with your holiday dress, skirt, or sweater.
Diamond or any other textured black tights are always sexy!
Add a punch of color to a black dress!

Life is hectic but my Christmas Tree is gorgeous and I am ready for Christmas! I know my 12 days are behind, but let's get to it!
Nice footwear is important during the holidays! You want a pair of shoes that are cute enough to go with your cute holiday attire, but also very comfortable. As we know the holidays can be work! Since it is freezing outside, I think a gorgeous bootie is the perfect shoe to pair with your holiday dress or chunky sweater and leggings. Booties come in so many different styles you are sure to find the perfect pair to rock this Christmas! Here are some of my favorites:

12 Days of Luxetips Before Christmas! Day 7: Gorgeous But Functional Holiday Attire

I know, I know. I am late delivering Day 6 and Day 7 of 12 Days of Luxetips Before Christmas. I was caught up shopping for the luxe kids. I am exhausted!
Days 1-6 focused on beauty and pampering yourself before Christmas Day. Christmas can be stressful, but if you take care of yourself first, you can just relax and enjoy the day.
Cute but comfortable holiday attire is a must during your holiday dinners and parties. Personally, I like a chunky sweater and leggings for casual family dinners and a baby doll or shift dress during holiday parties. The key is to make sure your clothes move with you and allow room for a stuffed tummy. You don't want your full stomach poking out in your holiday pictures. LOL! Here are few pieces I love for Christmas 09!

12 Days of Luxetips Before Christmas! Day Six: Signature Holiday Scent!

Did you have a fantabulous week? I certainly did. I scored some Christmas gifts for Luxe Baby and I am thrilled!
I have to apologize because I labeled yesterday's post as Day 4 when it was Actually Day 5. Ooops! I am getting my days mixed up.
During the holidays there are always tons of parties and family gatherings to attend. Us Divas must look pretty and smell good during these soirees! I love a good scent to wear during the holidays. A scent that will turn heads or cause someone to give you a nice compliment is always nice.
I have found such a scent in the Tocca line of fine fragrances. Simply put Tocca Eau de parfums are outstanding. The scents are exotic yet unique. I really have not smelled anything like them. Seriously. Finding a unique fragrance is always refreshing! Tocca is an American based company with an international following. It is luxe, unique, and feminine. The beauty line includes several fragrances named after iconic women. There is Brigitte, (after Brigette Bardot), Cleopatra, Florence and Stella. I am in love with Brigitte. This is certainly a head turning fragrance. Plus the bottle is GORGEOUS! Love it!

Day Three in our 12 Days of Luxetips Before Christmas Series focuses on beautiful holiday mani/pedis. Although it may be too cold to show your toes, pampering yourself with a mani/pedi is a must during the holidays!
I recommend short but well manicured nails during the holiday season. All of the cool dark and sparkly holiday nail polishes look fantastic on short nails. Here are some of my favorite holiday colors:
Essie's Wicked. A rich dark deep wine. I simply love it! A cult classic.
OPI's Sapphire in the Snow. A rich purple. OPI has the best colors.
Revlon's Vixen. The less expensive version of Chanel's Vamp. Love!
Chanel's Trapeze. A taupish silver metallic that is all the rage for the holidays. Chanel polishes are a bit expensive, but they do set the trends. HOT!

I have a ritual I have been following for years that includes a fresh mani/pedi, eyebrow wax, and fresh hair do before Christmas and before New Years! I have to bring in the New Year gorgeous! I like to wear my hair down, but up-dos are all the rage for this holiday season. Check out some creative up-dos created by Frederic Fekkai’s top celebrity stylist, Adir Abergel.
And speaking of up-dos, Lux The Salon in Grant Park, is having a FANTASTIC special for the holidays. Remember I did a review of this salon in September? Fab! Well they are offering 20 minute up-dos for only....$20! Wowza! This is a perfect way to have a super fresh hair-do before going to that holiday party! And because it is only 20 minutes, it is so easy to squeeze into your party preparation routine. Awesome! 12 Days of Luxetips Before Christmas! Day One: Radiant Skin!

I hope you had a fabulous weekend!
I love Christmas! I love decorating, baking cookies with my kids, and Christmas shopping! I love the holidays!
Many bloggers are doing 12 days of Christmas posts and many of my beauty blogging friends are doing 12 days of beauty. Well I thought it would be fun to do 12 days of Luxetips (before Christmas) posts! My theme? Get luxe and fab for Christmas Day!
On Day 1, I recommend achieving radiant and beautiful skin so you can glow, glow, glow on the big day! Here are my luxetips for radiant skin:
1. Give yourself a mini-facial starting this week and next week. My girl, Mischo Beauty, hipped me to weekly mini-facials last summer. I mostly use Lumene products for my weekly mini-facials. My routine is as follows: I use a mild cleanser, toner, Lumene's ARCTIC TOUCH Clarifying Mineral Peeling (makes my skin as smooth as a baby's!), and Lumene's ARCTIC TOUCH Deep Cleansing Peat Mask.
2. I also recommend using a nightly intensive skin cream to reverse aging, clear blemishes, and achieve radiant skin. I have been hearing rave reviews about Avon's ANEW ULTIMATE Night Gold Emulsion cream. Women swear that after only 2 weeks of using this product, their skin is plumper, blemish free, and radiant. I have a jar and I am going to start using it tonight! I can't wait to share the results!
So Divas work on radiant skin for Christmas! We all need to look gorgeous in those Christmas pics!
