Well it is official. Summer is here! This is the time to get regular manis and pedis and experiment with nail color. Of course, bright colors are always hot in the summer. This is why I decided to try N.Y.C. Nail Colors. I was looking for a nice yellow to wear when I am relaxing and not working! They had a great yellow and a host of other bright and funky colors. So I gave it a try.
First, the price point is great! Who can beat nail polish at 99 cents? However, the formula is very thin. I had to apply 4 coats to achieve the yellow color in the bottle. Next, the polish constantly streaked while applying. Even after applying 4 coats and drying, I never achieved a smooth finish. Just streaks, streaks, streaks! Not good. The one thing I did like about this polish is that it drys very quickly. Now that was impressive. How does it compare to Wet n' Wild's nail polish? Wet n' Wild is crushing N.Y.C. My Favorite Drugstore Beauty Products!

I hope your day is truly Fantabulous! It is gorgeous in Atlanta. The luxe kids and I were out all day yesterday. So today is another day on the scene! Woot!
Last week I was asked by Concierge PR to recommend beauty products for the Dress To Remember Event. This event was sponsored by Dress for Success and Concierge PR. The purpose of this event was to provide gently used prom dresses, mini-makeovers, and goody bags for Atlanta Public School teenagers in need. The products I recommended were included in the goody bag. Of course, I only recommended the best drugstore brand products..that I use. Here they are:
1. Covergirl Lashblast Mascara. I know I have blogged about this mascara before but it is my current go to mascara. Love!
2. Black Opal Foundation sticks and concealers. Black Opal is a GREAT bargain foundation. It goes only smoothly and completely covers blemishes. Plus the range of colors compliment women of color beautifully.
3. Loreal Hip Color Presso Duo lip shades and eye shadows! I love Loreal's Hip line. I compare it to MAC but on a budget. The colors are intense and very rich. I love the duo lip gloss. You get two shades for one price. You can layer the shades or use one at a time. The eye shadows are pretty fab too. They have purples, golds, greens, etc.
4. Revlon A Floral Affair Blush. These blushes contain 3 colors that you can blend together or use separately. I use one color as a blush and another color as a highlighter. In addition, the color ranges are great for all skin tones. Great product!
5. Wet n Wild's cream and powder bronzers. Awesome products. The Megaglow Illumnizing bronzer is my all time fav drugstore bronzer! Wet n' Wild bronzers come in several shades for different skin tones and they are only $2.99! Can't beat it.
6. Milani lip liners. These lip liners are creamy and retractable! I love that! Plus they come in a wide range of shades and they are only $3.50!
I hope the young ladies enjoy these products. I use all of these products several times a week. Beauty does not have to break the bank!

I hope your Wednesday is just fabulous! My Hot Drugstore Find of the Week is Wet n' Wild's H2O Proof Blending Eye Pencil. I picked up this beauty last week at CVS.
I was in the mood to try a navy eyeliner and I saw that Wet n' Wild had a beautiful royal blue color called Denim Chrome. Ladies I am IN LOVE with this eye pencil. It is small and compact so it easily fits in your makeup bag. One side of the eye pencil is the eyeliner and the other side is a smudger! You know I love getting two products for one! The pencil is creamy so it glides on very smooth. Also it is water resistant. Lastly, you can use the smudger to create a sexy smokey eye. I love this pencil! I know I already said that. This eye pencil retails for $1.99 and you can purchase it online here or at any CVS.

Well we are in the middle of the week! I hope your Wednesday is lovely! My hot drugstore find of the week is Wet n' Wild's MegaEyes Eyeshadow Pots. Now you ladies know how much I just adore Wet n' Wild Products. They are high quality but extremely affordable. For the low low price of $1.99, you get an eyeshadow pot that:
1. Glides on silky smooth..literally the shadow does feel like silk;
2. Has high pigmented color, the colors are very intense..although to achieve the full color you do need to use a primer or set your lids with foundation;
3. Long lasting color.

Lavender Creme is a gorgeous hot pink color and it looks great on my toes! I must confess that I am not the one to do my own mani/pedi. However, I was inspired by Mischo of Mischo Beauty to give it a try. Mischo is a licensed cosmetologist, an esthetician, and a chemist! She is just too fab! Her blog focuses on the proper care of hair, skin, and nails. She always features nail polish in beautiful colors. Check out one of my favs here. I decided to give myself a pedicure and I went to CVS to check out nail polish. I chose Wet n' Wild because it is so affordable. I brought this polish for only 99 cents! So if I did not like it, I would not feel like I wasted any money. I was also motivated by the fact that this nail polish is toluene, formaldehyde & phthalate free! I applied two coats and Wet n' Wild's MegaLast Quick Dry Ultra Gloss Top Coat, and my toes are just too pretty. I have been wearing this color for a week and I have not experienced any chipping.
